We do not recommend this product as an everyday leash, is it designed for quick walks and often used in dog sports for ease of taking off the leash/collar when entering the ring.
Easy to slip on and off, the French Martingale style is your go-to leash for every dog sport adventure! It is also perfect for quick potty breaks or as a handy backup leash in a pinch. Unlike regular slip leashes, this one has a wider, separate collar section that is not designed to pinch the dogs neck.
Here's what we need from you to make a custom leash (Add to your order notes, or we can correspond via email!)
Step 1: Measure around your dog’s neck. Got a wide-headed pup, like a bully breed? Give us a heads-up so we can tailor the lead’s opening just right for them!
Step 2: Pick your favorite colors! Check out our color guide in the images to see all the options. Here's what we need to know:
- Main Color
- this will be your leash and collar base color.
- Accent Color
- this will the tabs on the collar, the sliding tab and the handle color.
If you want to do multiple colors, we can do that for you! We will just need to know each color for each part of the leash (Collar, Collar Tabs, Leash, Sliding Ring, Handle)
Step 3: Would your collar base to be 1" wide or 1.5" Wide?
Step 4: Hardware color! We can create these orders with stainless steel, brass or black hardware. Please note: black hardware is painted and will chip over time.

What is Biothane?
Biothane looks and feels like leather, but it is made with a PVC outer layer and nylon core. Biothane is very durable and has been tested with real dogs and horses :) It can get wet, muddy, dragged, pulled - it is built to last!
Although Biothane is easy to clean it is not entirely stain resistant against things like permanent maker, paint or red dirt on lighter colors. Biothane is stink proof, but there are some odors (like Skunk) that it may not withstand.
